Book Reviews

As I review books, I will add the links to this page as a quasi-index. The label for "review" can also be utilized if there is interest in viewing the reviews chronologically.

Reviews are divided into the broad categories of Christian fiction, Christian non-fiction, and clean fiction with sub-genres, and then listed alphabetically by author's last name (except for series which will be listed alphabetically by series title as they may be multi-authored) and in publication order (where possible).

Please note that although most—if not all—books should be written by Christian authors, they may not be marketed as exclusively a Christian book. I have since added a clean fiction category to denote some of these titles where the author may be Christian but there is little-to-no Christian content within the book.

Thank you for stopping by!

Christian Book Review Programs

Over time, I've been on the hunt for Christian book review programs that readers can join. As a result, I've been able to compile the following list which may be of interest if you are seeking review copies of Christian books. This list mostly applies to print and ebooks, although some publishers offer audiobooks as well. If further information is available for any of the publishers below (or any missing publishers), please let me know as I am happy to update this list—thank you! Review: Every Hour Until Then - Timeless #5

Who else is excited for the next installment in the Timeless series by Gabrielle Meyer to release this month?! This is likely my favourite historical Christian fiction series and one I will continue to recommend. I kept my husband intrigued with enough hints for Every Hour Until Then that he now has to find time to read books two to four to get caught up 😄 Many thanks to  Bethany House Publishers  and  NetGalley  for providing a complimentary copy of this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own. Book Synopsis Gifted with the ability to time-cross between Victorian-era London and World War II Washington, DC, Kathryn faces two lives fraught with danger. In 1938 amid the looming shadow of war, Kathryn is invited to the London Museum as a guest curator to create a groundbreaking exhibit on Jack the Ripper and his reign of terror. As she delves into her grim research, she uncovers a chilling truth: Her own sister is destined to become the Ripper's ...

Review: Believing the Hero - Heroes of Freedom Ridge #9

I'm just trekking along with the  Heroes of Freedom Ridge series ! Believing the Hero marks the halfway point, so I'm getting there 😄 Honestly, these books are becoming a soap opera in my head where I'm familiar with most of the characters now and can revisit them throughout the year. What a fun series to get into where I can see what people are up to a little later in their life! Book Synopsis She’s been alone for years. Can this secret agent convince her to love again? Jan Clark lost her firefighter husband ten years ago. She fills her days running Stories and Scones and doting on her first grandchild. Finding someone new feels like betraying the husband she loved for decades, and the thought of tragically losing someone again is terrifying. But Pete O’Rourke is handsome, charming, and makes her feel young again—and what could be safer than an insurance agent? Pete moved back to Freedom, Colorado after 25 years as a CIA operative, not that anyone around here thinks he d...
