The Breakup Project and The Christian Mind book covers on blue floral background

What a week! I got to wrap up a few work projects, and work on something special for 2024 with some amazing fellow readers. Is anyone else in disbelief that this year ends in just two weeks?!

This week, I hope to slow down and enjoy the following titles:

📘 Christian fiction: The Breakup Project by Carolyn Miller
📗 Christian non-fiction: The Christian Mind by Harry Blamires

I'm looking forward to the second half of Advent and hope that you are as well!

Review: Under the Mistletoe - Small Town Shenanigans #2

The Small Town Shenanigans series continues with a heartwarming and hilarious Christmas book! Under the Mistletoe by Penny Zeller is a cozy and fun book that involves a touch of mystery and a whole lot of chuckles, starring an introvert who does not want to be part of the Christmas action but finds himself there anyways 🤣 Many thanks to Maplebrook Publishing  and  NetGalley  for providing a complimentary copy of this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own. Book Synopsis He's a nerdy tourist needing a vacation. She's a bed and breakfast employee with a broken heart. Love is the last thing they expect to find this Christmas. Introvert Braxton Wertz needs a vacation, but his trip to the small town of Cloverdale Falls is anything but restful when he finds himself not only falling for the sweet and bubbly Gracely, but also in the crosshairs of geriatric private investigators...and their numerous shenanigans. Recovering from a painful breakup, extrovert Grac...

Whenever I see a new Joshua Becker book, I read it. Make that a Christian book and I'll read it even sooner. Uncluttered Faith is perhaps the clearest and most unapologetically Christian book I've seen on the topic on minimalism and it's where the author's pastoral heart shines through the most. This book releases in February 2026 and is one that connects an intentional life to Gospel teachings in a way that is inspiring and attainable for believers. Many thanks to WaterBrook & Multnomah and  NetGalley  for providing a complimentary copy of this book for review consideration. All opinions are my own. Content to be aware of : mentions of contemplative spirituality authors, brief mention of monks and nuns Book Synopsis A transformative guide to experiencing the fullness of God's promises through the power of minimalism—from the bestselling author of The More of Less and The Minimalist Home. Consumerism competes for our attention daily—from social media influenc...
